Recently, the world’s most powerful man BARACK OBAMA has awarded with Noble Prize “Noble Of Peace” , Hhhh….. well he have to do much but he is already awarded for those undone credits. Well all knows that US is miles ahead than other countries in Military Power, Political diplomacy as well as in Economic Stability. But did only these three criteria’s are sufficient to declare any nation as best in the world?
It is true that no one remains on top forever someone has to replace him. If we take a look back to 500 years, Europe has dominating effects in the field of Science, Industrialization, Politics, Art and Culture. Thus, these fields helped the Europe to get modernized and leave a prominent effect on world. After 19th century, the rise of United States Of America takes attention of rest of world. After doing Industrialization it has become the 2nd most powerful country after Imperial Rome. After this, during the last century, US has single domination in each and every field.
If we take look at the 1st decade of 21st century it is worthwhile to see that many of the nations has done growth at rate of 4 or at more greater rate. Many of these nations are from Asia and Africa. About 80% of world’s population resides in Asia and Africa and the concept of Globalization makes the whole world a single market. Companies from these subcontinents started to give competition to US companies in this single market.
A recent report points out 35 companies whom has potential to become great multinational companies in the world. The lis says that of them 3 from India, 2 from China and 1 from Brazil, Mexico, South Africa, Chile, Malaysia, Argentina, South Korea and Taiwan. If we take a look around the world, the world’s tallest building is in Taipei shortly after certain time Dubai will takes its position. A Mexican is the world’s richest man. World’s largest Public corporation is in China. Modern Refineries are developing in India. Russia and Ukraine are developing world’s largest Aircrafts. A large percentage of Professionals that is Engineers and Doctors are coming out of India and China. And because of their ability they are taking place of their own citizens in multinational companies in their own country (US as well as other countries). It’s not too far that Developing countries are on the verge to replace the so called Leader of the World. They are growing in each and every field day by day.
HEY GUYS!
Have you ever done preparation for Management Entrance Exams. Yes, then your 1st goal in mind is to crack the CAT and get into IIM's. But buddies not everyone has luck to reach there. It's ok don't get into depression. Everybody knows that CAT is one of the toughest entrance competetion takes place in world. There are other Bussiness schools also which are not least than IIM's level but also provides better professional education. All you need is to make certain changes in the technique of your preparation.
Recently, the online procedure of CAT is completed(however the US based company PROMETRIC is failed to complete CAT successfully). Many student's give there best in it others may not. But you don't have to forget that for 1800 seats of IIM's approximately 2 lakhs 41 thousand students will compete, this makes this competetion tough. If you don't get addmission in IIM you've not need to get in situation of chaos. CAT exam opens up a door for approximately 140 B-schools in India. However, they have their own eligiblity criteria for addmissions. Some of them wants work experience others check your extracurricular activities during past educational period.
Generally, students getting 95 to 99 percentile get call for interview from IIM's. Others that don't get call from IIM's and getting 92 to 95 percentile may choose S.P.JainInstitute of Management & Research; Mumbai, InstituteofManagementand Development ; Gurgaon, National Institute of Industrial Engineering; Mumbai, Institute of Management Technology; Ghaziabad, Nirma; Ahemdabad and TAPMI; Manipal.
Those getting lower percentile ranging 82 to 92 percentile can get addimission in Department of Financial Studies, DelhiUniversity(South Campus); IndianSchool of Social Welfare and Bussiness Management, New Delhi; Institute of Financial Management and Research, Chennai; IMI, Delhi; KJ Somya Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai; Mudra Institute of Communication, Ahemdabad and Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute Of Management, Delhi.
I will suggest you to prepare for atleast 5 competitive exams. The pattern of different exam has some changes all you need is to enhance your reasoning and mental ability so that how you gather the question and give answere to it. So, don't think so much, check out your ability and do preparation accordingly.
First aim against government is to develop Universities which fullfills the international standards not only on capacity but also in quality. Approximately 1 crore students clears 10th standard exam in India and they should be divided on basis of their intelligence in there respective fields. According to any international standard 10% of students are best and eligible to study in international level universities. If we focus our discussion to IIT's only 7000 seats are avilaible and those 10% students(off course more) will compete for them that is 143 elligible students have to compete for 1 seat, how tough this competition will be you can imagine it. Other aspect is that of these 7000 seats reservation has also done 27% for OBC ie other backward classes, 13% for ST ie schedule tribe, 16% for SC ie schedule caste and 3% for PH ie physically handicapped persons. This makes the condition more drastic and it happens every year in every exam.
The Question arises is : Why can't there be more institutions like IIT's? Why can't there be more institutions like IIM's? Why did the goverment don't solve this problem? Is there any kind of shortage of resources in our country? The answere is NO The government has no shortage of land even if a single advertisement for a government post is published in newspapers many application are recieved (A new incidence came into light, for 3000 posts of junior telecom officer of BSNL ie bharat sanchar nigam limited approximately 4 lakhs forms have been submitted in response). There are many qualified teachers having much experience in teaching, the only need is to place them in there right positions. Next comes the money. It is true that cost of getting higher level education is higher but most of the parents likes to see their child getting good education rather saving money in their bank accounts or wasting money on exaggerate coaching institutions which makes you to dream in day.
A recent report shows that approximately 7 billion dollars(Rs.300000 crores) money is sent by Indian parents to their children in foreign countries in an year. If such top level universities are there in our country then the government can save some amount of this money and this money automatically boosts up our economy. Moreover, the goverment can use these universities as source of income and they can self manage themselves without any add from the government. Theres need to develop universities like DELHIUNIVERSITY which are 4 times bigger in area as well as in capacity to intake students. By doing so more teachers are needed, will be given much more serious duties and a new way opens for employment in this field.
The Second cause that has to be reformed is : Limited choice of Subjects and Syllabus. It's a very simple question how much of the education that you get did you use it in your daily life? think of it-seriously. Since after certain time our fashion trend changes, our daily use products changes then - why can't we change such course which is made 20 years earlier? You can think that - If a student still learns how to run a bicycle and if he is seated in cockpit then what will happens to him. Thats what happens to Indian students. First of all, they are learning such things which has taken place 300 years ago. Secondly, they got only theoritical knowledge and finds on practical use. Thus, they have only knowledge of books which they can't figure out and it is out of their imaginations that is their knowledge is Virtual which is of no use in this competing world. The government has to change course after regular intervals and should also take care that which peoples are doing this job. Didthey have any connection with base. Another remedy that we don't have to forget is to change our mentality. We should earn knowledge not for money only(off course money comes as bonus with knowledge). We have to do hard work to get knowledge, becoming a good citizen and developing qualities like Creativity, Sincerity, Justise and Dedication as all these are very important for developing a country.
But our system's policy and measures are such that they ended up all these qualities from a child as fast as they can do. The meaning of creativity is to develop new things and dare to give challenge to things that are already made but as long as we are following the past how new things will came into light? how new imaginations will grow? I am fully confident that the new generation will ask the government that what they are doing for Education? They will question every politician about their country's future. And then surely these "INDIAN FOOL UNIVERSITIES" will change. I am Waiting.
HEY GUYS! Anyone of us has an ambition to be a succesfull person in life, achieve those things which have not get and has always a small corner for those needs in our heart. I am an Engineer from a middle class family and my family as of other lakhs of families in india have dreams that i will become a good, reputed and of course rich man in future. Obviously, any one of like me wants to achieve all those. I find a way to how to start my journey. In India, education has become one of the primary step to ascend the success ladder, whose other end point reaches to prosperity and fame in society. But does education system in India is able to provide such education that can be successfully used in our daily life. I think that, if a knowledge what we are taking is such that we cant apply it in its place is of no use. The education should have some daily use, so that it influences the learner and attracts him to gather it. In schools, the main moto of teachers is to complete the given course in time whether the student has not understood the meaning of title of chapter. This is because there is pressure on teachers and they transfer this pressure to students. Our education implies more potential on theoritical knowledge than its practical use. The goverment should have to recognize these causes and adopt some revolutionary changes in the educational system. Some of the remedies that i have identityfied are taken into consideration in this post. There are two root causes : 1> Firstly there is Shortage of International level Universities in India. 2> Secondly the Quality of education as well as choice of subjects is limited. continued..
